Cemex Ventures is the corporate venture capital of CEMEX, one of the world’s biggest players in the construction industry. CEMEX operates on a global scale in the production, distribution and sale of cement and other construction materials and are market leaders in many fields of the industry.

With CEMEX Ventures, they invest globally in innovative startups in the industry to “drive the construction industry revolution”, as it says on their website. The aim is to create a network of startups, leading companies, universities and other stakeholders to work together on a new one and better future through the construction industry.

This network is nourished by the Construction Startup Competition, which is being held for the fifth time this year and which gives young companies worldwide the opportunity to present themselves to well-known investors in the construction industry to generate capital.

Since the beginning of 2021 wastebox took up the challenge and has been working towards the climax-event of the competition. We´ve been invited as one of the 10 winning startups out of hundreds of applicants to present our project at the Builtworlds Venture Conference on November 11th in Miami.
